Brown Sugar Meatloaf

This brown sugar meatloaf is absolutely delicious and full of flavor. An easy meatloaf recipe the whole family will enjoy.

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.

Meatloaf

  • In a large bowl, mix all ingredients except the brown sugar and the topping ingredients.
  • Shape into a loaf.
  • Pack brown sugar in the bottom of a 7x11 baking dish.
  • Place the meatloaf on the brown sugar.

Topping

  • In a small bowl, stir barbecue sauce and ketchup together. Spread over the top of the meatloaf.
  • Cover and tent aluminum foil over the meatloaf.
  • Bake for 45 minutes, remove foil and bake for an additional 25 minutes or until internal temperature is 165.
  • Let rest for 5 minutes before slicing. Drizzle with pan drippings for added flavor.

Notes

  • For easy mixing, use your hands. Just wash them thoroughly first.
  • Mix your meatloaf ingredients until fully combined, but don't overwork them.
  • To easily crush your Cheez-Its, just give them a quick pulse or two in your food processor.
