Tired of making dinner and stressed out by the massive amount of dirty dishes just waiting to be cleaned? This One Pot Beef Stroganoff recipe is calling your name. Not only does the flavor have everyone running for the table but it’s such a great way to use just one pot to cook up this delicious meal and it’s super easy.

Beef Stroganoff is one of those comfort food recipes that sounds fancy but in all reality, it is really quite simple. And when you take that first bite, the pieces of meat combined with the soft noodles create a delicious texture that really does warm the belly.

We’ve made this during the winter months and also during the busy times of the year when we just don’t have a ton of time but need something simple and easy for our brains and bodies to love. And if you’re a fan of leftovers, this recipe makes a big enough batch that there just might be some waiting for lunch or dinner again the very next day.

What are some additions that could be added to this simple stroganoff recipe?

If you’re anything like me, sometimes you like to add in a few things to make it just a little bit different than the time before. Adding a can of sliced mushrooms is always a good idea and really does add to the flavor and taste. I usually use fresh mushrooms but did not have either fresh or canned.

You can also add some fun toppings on at the end if you want as well. For those of who you like spice, fresh jalapenos always give a nice kick or you can even add some French Onions on top for a little bit of crunch.

Can I use frozen onions for this recipe?

You can. I’ve recently discovered that my store has frozen chopped onions and they’re one of my favorite cooking hacks to use. Not only does this save me a ton of time and prep work but I no longer cry when dealing with onions as well! If you decide to give the fresh onions a try, just saute them up per the directions and keep going about the recipe.

What are the benefits of a “one pot” recipe?

For me, it’s all about convenience. And don’t get me wrong. I have a ton of recipes that I LOVE that use multiple pans and have a lot of different steps, but sometimes, I just don’t want to spend 30 minutes after dinner cleaning up my mess.

Being able to cook up a one pot dinner means that I have way less to clean up. And I’m that much closer to putting my feet up and relaxing for the night.

One Pot Beef Stroganoff is a bowl full of beef stroganoff with egg noodles and beef on a spoon.

How do you reheat leftovers of beef stroganoff?

The easiest way to reheat your leftovers is to put them into a microwave-safe dish and zap them for a few seconds. Make certain that you’re careful when you take a bite because the meat will probably be hotter than the noodles as they’re going to reheat a bit differently from one another.

You can also reheat this dish by adding it back to your skillet or pan and reheating it low and slow on the stove. Keeping a close eye on it is key as you don’t want the bottom to burn when you’re not paying attention.

If you’re tired of doing the dishes and ready for a break, this One Pot Beef Stroganoff recipe has to happen. You’re going to love the ease, the taste, and the fact that you’re doing about 90% less clean up than you do for other meals and recipes. Who knows, maybe someone in your family will offer to do clean up completely and you can sit down and enjoy a little rest time!
