I love to bake. At least, I love what comes out when I bake. But not everybody loves to bake all the time and that’s why I enjoy the option of a no-bake pie recipe from time to time. This no-bake OREO pie recipe is a, quick and easy, no-brainer if you want to mix a sweet treat together and you don’t want to wait through the cycle of baking and cooling times.

No bake pie recipes make such a convenient solution for anyone with a sweet tooth who can work their way around a kitchen. It’s easy to whip up these ingredients in a mixer and it’s easy to pour the filling into the pie crust. The hard part is making it last, or trying not to eat the whole no bake OREO pie before you put it in the refrigerator to fully chill!

This simple six-ingredient recipe calls for minimal work so you can just get right to the good part. Most of the stuff is premade, but you will have to develop your OREO separating game in order to get it done just right. This is a delicate procedure that requires finesse. Feel the pressure of the cookie at your fingertips as you lightly twist with just enough force to peel one side of the cookie clean away, leaving the whole portion of creamy frosting on the other half. Okay, you don’t have to get it perfect but it’s a great way to impress your friends and stack your own triple stuffed, quad stuffed, or however many stuffs you can manage.

The Premade Ingredients in a No Bake OREO Pie

Part of no bake is the implied minimal amount of work you have to put into making it. The main ingredients to this pie are things you can purchase already made so that you don’t have to do the work. If you want to make some of these things from scratch, be my guest, but they are easy to find and they make the whole no bake OREO pie come together really well without a hitch.

Pie Crust

The pie crust is easy to find. There should be no confusion about which pie crust to use since it will have the OREO label printed right on it. This is a dark crust made from OREO cookies. It will set the stage just right for the cookies and cream flavor that will run throughout the entire dessert.

OREO cookies

Of course you need some actual OREO cookies to make this no bake OREO pie work. You can even get creative here because there are so many varieties of OREO now. I prefer to go with the original but now is your chance to experiment and try something new. They have thin OREO, Double Stuff’d OREO, chocolate-coated… That’s not even to mention all the varieties of different flavors. We’re literally just talking about consistency. For the purposes of this recipe, we are staying old school with the original flavor OREO in its original size and proportions.

Cool Whip

There is no need to whip up your own cream. This is what is so powerful about a good, simple no bake recipe. It’s like a vacation. It’s practically having someone else make it for you. In the case of these ingredients, that’s exactly what it is. I love Cool Whip for this, because it has the texture you need for the filling. When it comes to topping the pie, though, you may want something more decorative. Either use a piping bag to squeeze out the design you want, or go with something that comes in an aerosol can. Whichever you choose it’s already made, you just need to add the ingredients together.

Oreo Pie

The rest is super simple. You have milk and sweetened condensed milk. You also have the one thing you kind of have to put effort into? Not really though. It’s instant pudding, so it requires no extra labor on top of the mixing you will already be doing to bring all of these ingredients together. The flavor of pudding for the purposes of this recipe is vanilla. However, if you went rogue on the OREO cookie flavors, this is your chance to double down on your own no bake OREO pie. Here are some ideas:

  • Lemon
  • Pistachio
  • Coconut
  • Cheesecake
  • Egg Custard
  • Devil’sfood

How to Store a No Bake OREO Pie

This pie is excellent when chilled. It needs to firm up by setting in the refrigerator. Don’t leave it out at room temperature unless you plan on serving all of it. If you are taking only a slice or two at a time, be sure to cover the pie and put it back in the refrigerator.

If you keep it refrigerated it can easily last for three or more days as long as you have it completely covered. You can even freeze your no bake OREO pie and keep it going for months. However, you should take extra precautions to lock out air and moisture. Remember too that the freezer may preserve the pie for longer, but it doesn’t last forever. This is primarily a quick fix sort of dessert, so there is no need to make it in advance.
