Ingredients

Egg Wash

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk eggs, milk, garlic powder and black pepper together, and scramble over medium heat until almost done. Eggs can still be a bit wet because they will fully cook in the oven.
  • In a large frying pan, heat oil over medium heat. Add diced ham, bell pepper, and onions, stir, and cook until veggies are tender.
  • Gently unroll the crescent dough, on a lightly floured surface, and cut into 4 equal squares.
  • Pinch the perforated lines together of the two triangles that make up that square..
  • Sprinkle shredded cheese over each crescent square.
  • Add scrambled eggs to each square.
  • Next, spoon the ham mixture over the eggs.
  • Add additional shredded cheddar cheese.
  • Bring two corners of the crescents together, pinch, and seal.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together egg and water.
  • Brush egg wash over the crescents, and bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.

Notes

Tips

  • Your eggs should be glossy and slightly wet when you finish cooking them. Baking the crescent dough in the oven will finish cooking the eggs.
  • Keep the heat at medium when cooking the ham and veggies to prevent the vegetables from burning.
  • When pinching the perforated dough seems together, be firm enough to seal the seams but gentle enough not to tear the dough.
