This rich, delicious dessert starts with a base of Reese’s Pieces peanut butter cookie dough that I bake until golden. Then, I top it with a sweet cream cheese and Cool Whip mixture. Finally, I top the cream cheese layer with crumbled Reese’s Pieces peanut butter cookies and Reese’s Pieces candies. It’s an easy recipe that only takes a few minutes of prep and some baking time, and its rich, peanut butter flavor is perfect for any occasion.

How to Make Peanut Butter Cookie Dessert

Making this peanut butter cookie dessert is absolutely the easiest thing ever. The cookie dough is pre-made, and the only thing you’ll have to actually make is the cream cheese layer. Even that only takes a bit of mixing!

Step 1: Prep

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and lightly spray two 7×11 baking dishes with nonstick cooking spray.

Step 2: Bake the Cookie Dough

Press each package of cookie dough into each baking dish in an even layer. Then, bake for 25 to 30 minutes until golden around the edges and the center is set.

Step 3: Cool

Remove the pans from the oven and let the cookies cool completely.

Step 4: Make the Cream Cheese Mixture

Beat the cream cheese for 2 to 3 minutes or until smooth. Then, add the powdered sugar and beat until combined. Finally, mix in the Cool Whip and refrigerate while the cookies cool.

Step 5: Assemble the Dessert

Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over one of the cooled cookie rectangles. Then, crumble the other baked cookie rectangle over the top of the cream cheese layer. Add Reese’s Pieces randomly over the top.

Step 6: Chill

Place the dessert in the refrigerator and chill for a couple of hours. Enjoy!

Recipe Tips

  • Be sure your cream cheese is fully softened for the best texture.
  • An electric hand mixer is the best way to achieve a light, fluffy cream cheese filling.
  • Remove the cookies from the oven as soon as the edges are golden and the center is set for the perfect cookie texture.
  • Chill the dessert for at least a couple of hours for the best flavor and texture.

Variations

  • Use your favorite pre-made cookie dough for this recipe.
  • You can use your favorite candies in conjunction with your favorite cookie dough for a totally new dessert.
  • Try using buttercream frosting in place of the cream cheese layer for a super sweet treat.

What to Serve with Peanut Butter Cookie Dessert

Serve this with a glass of milk or a cup of coffee or tea. For a more adult pairing, serve the dessert with a dessert wine or a creamy cocktail.

This is fully awesome! It’s like a combination of cookies and no-bake cheesecake or maybe cream cheese dip. It’s good, that’s for sure.
